Society’s Chaos

Society's Chaos
Glitch? No, THE GLITCH
He wondered if he should join them, if he should give up on his life and his world and embrace the glitch. He wondered if there was anything left to fight for, to hope for, to live for.

He looked at the black spade-like shape in the sky, and felt a surge of curiosity. He wanted to know what it was, what it meant, what it would do. He wanted to see the unknown, to explore the mystery, to discover the truth.

He looked at the group of people around the fountain, and felt a surge of envy. They seemed so happy, so peaceful, so free. They had found their purpose, their meaning, their joy. They had accepted the chaos, the uncertainty, the end.
He looked at himself, and felt a surge of despair. He was alone, scared, lost. He had no purpose, no meaning, no joy. He had rejected the chaos, the uncertainty, the end.

He made his decision.
He walked towards the fountain, and joined the group of people. They welcomed him with open arms, and invited him to sing and dance with them. He smiled, and followed their lead.
He looked at the sky, and saw the black spade-like shape grow bigger and bigger. He felt a wave of excitement, and anticipation.
He closed his eyes, and waited for the glitch.
